DISCOURSE// Profile 3: Eddin Khoo, Pusaka, Kuala Lumpur.

Eddin Khoo is a writer, journalist, cultural critic and also director of PUSAKA. He had worked with traditional artists for two decades and written extensively about their traditions. His work at PUSAKA has brought about a rejuvenation of the traditional arts both in its places of origin and a renewed interest in the cities. Maintaining his conviction that tradition is as contemporary and forward-looking, he organises some of the best literary events in Malaysia - among others KataKatha (2015) and KL Literary Festival (2016). He co-authored the beautifully illustrated book The Spirit of Wood, together with Farish Noor, where he wrote on the Langkasukan roots (2th century .A.D - 15th century A.D) of the Malay carving traditions in the East Coast of the Peninsula.
